Board adopts ordinance and license fee for massage‑therapy establishments

Police Chief Tom Bishop told trustees that the ordinance was developed in response to a prior application and after consultation with Department of Workforce Development investigators who recommended a local ordinance to deter undesirable operations. "They explained that these types of businesses do check our code of ordinances before they come into a municipality to see if they have, an ordinance in place such as this one," the chief said.
