Burnet County Commissioners Court voted on Aug. 13, 2026 to accept the designation of Ed Hashbarger as the county's Emergency Management Coordinator, to serve under the Burnet County Judge as Emergency Management Director pursuant to Texas Government Code Chapter 418. Commissioner Joe Don Dockery moved the action and Commissioner Chad Collier seconded the motion.
