The Whitley County Commissioners on Aug. 3 adopted an amendment to the county permitting ordinance, Ordinance 2026-07, to make clear that a permit is still required even if a property owner has been fined for proceeding without one. Commissioner Robert Schuman explained the purpose of the change during the meeting.
