Sheriff reports lobby office work underway, requests second part‑time dispatcher; commissioners agree

Sheriff Don Jacobs reported that work has started on a new office in the sheriff's lobby. Jacobs also said an applicant had applied for the part‑time dispatcher position and asked whether the department could hire an additional part‑time employee; commissioners said that would be acceptable because part‑time employees do not receive benefits.
