DNR ends PFAS testing program; county outlines pickup and return deadlines for residents
County staff said the Wisconsin DNR will stop offering PFAS testing; residents who received letters must pick up kits by July 26 and return them by August 2 if they wish to participate. UW outreach and a Stella-area update meeting were also discussed.

Linda Conlon told the board that the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will no longer offer the PFAS testing program and that residents who received a testing letter must pick up their kit by July 26 and return it by August 2 to participate. Conlon said Oneida County has not seen concentrated PFAS impact areas like the Stella site but that PFAS detections are scattered across the county; she noted UW has also contacted some residents about a research study that may include blood and water sampling and that staff are exploring additional funding to expand research.
