Council adds resolutions declaring data‑center rules invalid in part, directs curative amendment

Council unanimously added two resolutions to the agenda and later approved them to address perceived gaps in the borough’s 2009 zoning ordinance related to data centers. The resolutions (R‑27 and R‑28) declare specific portions of the ordinance substantially invalid only with respect to the use and regulation of property for a data center and instruct staff to prepare a curative amendment within 180 days to remedy the deficiency under the Municipal Planning Code.
