Commission flags water-usage and attainable-housing language for Board review
Straban Township staff proposed moving water-usage standards out of the Data Center ordinance to apply township-wide and discussed possible attainable-housing provisions; the commission recommended the Board of Supervisors investigate options and legal authority.

Township Engineer Erik Vranich told the commission two items were added to proposed ordinance revisions: moving water-usage standards from the Data Center ordinance to township-wide applicability because of water supply concerns, and considering attainable-housing measures that could require a portion of new housing to be designated as low-income. Chairman John Hartzell said he found a DCED webpage with municipal tools and the commission recommended that the Board of Supervisors look into the proposals.
