Township staff proposed removing the existing Solar Energy System Overlay from the Zoning Map and replacing it with two new overlay districts that would together reduce the acreage available for large-scale solar from about 1,500 acres to roughly 1,200 acres. The Commission supported the concept but requested Solicitor confirmation that the process would not open the Township to a validity challenge.
