River Ridge CDD approves $7,026 repair for nano bubblers on three lakes

At its April 28 meeting, the River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors approved a one‑time work order with Premier Lakes, Inc. to repair nano‑bubbler systems on Lakes H1‑A, H1‑B and E7‑A for $7,026. The motion was made by Mr. Kurt Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Keith Merrill and passed unanimously.

Bill Kurth of Premier Lakes told the Board that "the lakes and the dry retention areas (DRAs) are in good condition," and that he had inspected the nano bubblers. Kurth presented a $25,000 proposal from the manufacturer Mollier to replace the nano bubbles like‑for‑like, and described Premier’s lower‑cost alternative: replace the nonstandard 8‑horsepower water pumps and the aeration compressor at H1‑B and E7‑A, and replace check valves including the unit on H1‑A, to get equipment operational for further evaluation. Kurth cautioned the repair work would not guarantee no additional repairs would be necessary.

Board members discussed warranty length, identifying H1‑B as a priority, and differences between Premier’s agreement language and the District’s standard contract form. The District recorded the action in its minutes as: On MOTION by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Merrill, with all in favor, the Premier Lakes, Inc. One‑Time Work Order Agreement, as amended, to repair the nano bubble machines on Lakes H1‑A, H1‑B and E7‑A, in the amount of $7,026, was approved.
