Council unanimously amends 2026 Parks budget to add several capital projects
The Lynden City Council approved ORD-26-1729 March 16 to amend the 2026 Parks budget for Bender maintenance and painting, Bender Fields B-ball buildings (permits/utilities), Schoolyard Park sidewalks, a Schoolyard Park master plan update, and new restrooms, a spray park, and irrigation; motion passed 6-0.

The Lynden City Council on March 16 adopted ORD-26-1729, a budget amendment adding several park capital expenditures to the 2026 Parks budget. Councilor Kyle Strengholt moved the amendment and Councilor Gary Vis seconded; the motion carried on a 6-0 vote.
