Guthrie council appoints Lauren Paddy after executive session
At a special called Jan. 20 meeting the Guthrie City Council entered an executive session under KRS 61.810(1)(f) and, after returning to open session, unanimously appointed Lauren Paddy to the council. The executive session was reported to have produced no independent public action.

The Guthrie City Council unanimously appointed Lauren Paddy to the council at its special called meeting on Jan. 20, 2026. The council entered an executive session earlier in the meeting under KRS 61.810(1)(f), then returned to open session and voted on the appointment; the motion to appoint was made by Chad Johnson and seconded by Harry Green and carried unanimously.
