The Darby Free Library board discussed construction and fundraising during its June meeting. Project manager Emily Finigan reported work on trenching and brick preparation and said the library is awaiting a state variance for an elevator that could push the project end date to December. Board members discussed contracts and elevator maintenance; a motion to approve the building report carried 8–0.
