Middle-school principal Stephanie Rieper and staff presented the AVID program to the board on Oct. 13. Rieper introduced Tanis Lemons, Nina Hagler and Sarah Bolgiana, who explained how AVID is used in classrooms; AVID teacher Darlene Saldinera described classroom implementation and students displayed AVID binders and a video produced for the presentation.
