The Pine Tree ISD Board on May 11 approved renovation budgets for Birch Elementary and the high school that exceed original estimates but will be covered within the existing bond program. The Birch Elementary renovation was estimated at $1,250,000 (about $350,000 over budget) and the high school project at $980,000 (about $30,000 over budget); the board approved moving these renovations forward as change orders through Parkway Elementary's existing pay application.
