Several residents spoke during public comment urging council unity, support for an airplane memorial, better capitalization on the rail trail, and clearer language and enforcement timelines for a proposed storage-trailer law.

During the public-comment period Bob Britton urged the Council to "work together rather than engage in finger-pointing or divisiveness," said he strongly supports the airplane memorial project and encouraged the council to seek long-term solutions to recurring Fire Department overtime costs. He also questioned why more cyclists passing along the Erie Canal Trail do not stop in Oneida and suggested the City better capitalize on trail-related economic opportunities.
