The Cheboygan County Board on July 14 authorized staff to submit a Request for Public Assistance under FEMA disaster 4925‑DR to seek reimbursement for damage from severe storms, tornadoes and flooding that occurred April 10–21, 2026. The Board directed the Finance Director to electronically sign and submit the Request for Public Assistance and allowed staff to make necessary budget adjustments to pursue FEMA funding.
