Rusk ISD casts ballots for Cherokee Central and Rusk County appraisal districts
Trustees cast the district's votes for two appraisal-district board slates: 328 votes for Chris Work to Cherokee Central Appraisal District and all seven votes for Clifford Harkless to the Rusk County Appraisal District Board; both resolutions passed 7–0.

The Board voted to cast the district's ballot for the Cherokee Central Appraisal District Board of Directors and the Rusk County Appraisal District Board of Directors. Nathan Acker moved to cast all 328 votes for trustee Chris Work to the Cherokee Central Appraisal District board; the motion carried 7–0. Separately, the board cast its seven votes for Clifford Harkless for the Rusk County Appraisal District 2026–2027 board, on a motion by Chris Work and second by Montie Sunday, which also passed unanimously.
