The Lackawanna City Council on Jan. 5 appointed Council Member Kevin R. Surdyke of the 4th Ward as Council President Pro-Tempore for 2026 under Chapter 3, Section 3.5 of the City Charter. The resolution says the Pro-Tempore will serve for a one-year term ending Dec. 31, 2026.
