Shane McKay of East Central ISD updated the council on district milestones and new programs. He said Valor Middle School held a ribbon cutting, and the district celebrated its largest graduating class of 824 students this year, with 98% graduating college, career, or military ready. The district reported 2,191 dual‑credit hours earned, 550 Alampromise scholars (full tuition at Alamo Community Colleges), 219 students in ROTC, 662 in FFA, and multiple new career‑focused programs including cyber security certification pathways with UTSA and a drone‑pilot program.
