The Sweeny Independent School District Board accepted the resignation of Trustee Earl Mathis, who resigned due to moving out of the district. The motion to accept the resignation was made by Trustee Brittanie Hopkins and seconded by Trustee Amanda Baca; the minutes record a unanimous 4–0 vote.
