Council authorizes $20,000 engineering agreement for pavement maintenance project
Talty authorized a $20,000 agreement with BGE for engineering and bid-phase services for the HMAC Pavement Maintenance Project as part of a long-range plan that recommends chip-seal treatments every seven to nine years for roads upgraded in 2017.

City Engineer Carl Krogness presented the HMAC Pavement Maintenance Project, describing a long-standing plan to apply chip-seal treatments to roadways upgraded in two phases in 2017. Krogness said the treatments are typically recommended every seven to nine years. The council approved an agreement with BGE to provide engineering and bid-phase services for $20,000; Judy Trevino moved to approve and the motion passed 3-0.
