Auditor Mike Rosenbaum read payroll ending July 24, 2026 of $1,544,450.50 and operating expense claims of $2,195,756.90; Commissioner Joe Haney moved and President Steve Holifield seconded approval of both; each motion carried 2‑0. The board also approved a 60‑day sick payout for Rebecca Popplewell, a 49½‑year sheriff's department employee, after Sheriff Ron Heeg recommended the action.
