Resident asks county to fix U‑turn design causing sight‑line and access problems on Civila

Juanita Yates, who identified her neighborhood and an intersection at Civila and Sherwood Drive, told the board the county‑installed U‑turn and median strip has created dangerous sight lines and forced residents to drive across a median to reach their homes. "We can't see who is coming at us," she said, describing large trucks and trailers that cannot navigate the new U‑turn geometry.

Yates asked the county to consider short‑term fixes such as graveling the informal tracks residents now use and to examine alternatives that restore safe access for the roughly six affected households. Commissioners acknowledged the complaint and did not take immediate action at the meeting but the issue was recorded for follow‑up with public‑works staff.
