The Jewell County Commissioners voted unanimously July 14 to approve Joint Resolution 25-09JW following a conference call with Republic County officials. "Republic County explained the purpose of the resolution is for maintenance purposes regarding the 24 miles along the Jewell-Republic County line and the 5 miles of asphalt on county line road." The motion to approve was made by Ervin Underwood and seconded by Ed Duskie.
