Contractor delay stalls Jackson Street project; county exploring laydown yard with city
County staff reported the Jackson Street project contractor 'Kefir Brothers' is ready but awaiting a drawing and supplies, delaying start by three to four weeks; staff said they will contact Mayor Defendol to seek a city laydown yard for materials storage.

Julie Ellsworth, a county staff member who presented project updates, said she had spoken with a contact (Bill) and that the contractor Kefir Brothers was prepared to start but had to submit one additional drawing and was waiting on supplies. "They just had to turn in one more change ... and they're waiting on supplies. So, that put them out another three to four weeks," she said.
