Sportsplex progress reported; Garrison Park bids due April 23

Tony reported that contractors are installing retaining walls, drainage systems and fencing at the Sportsplex, the concession building electrical is nearly complete and the maintenance building is about 75% finished. He told commissioners: "It'll probably start, after July 4 because I wanna make sure that we have that park available parking for the 250 year anniversary of Red White and Buda, because there's gonna be a lot of people in town." Staff also said bids for Garrison Park close April 23 and detailed pre-construction work, including removal of dilapidated buildings on an adjacent 4.1-acre parcel that will serve as a shop area.
