During the meeting’s public-comment period, Kristi Smith spoke regarding a variance requested for 221 Stockade; the mayor granted her an additional two minutes for a total of about 4 minutes 30 seconds. Later in the public-comment period, Laurie Boudreaux urged council to take action on drainage and flood-gate control and to change emergency-operations oversight because of a perceived conflict of interest.
