Council voted to adopt Resolution 2026-02 establishing a temporary committee to plan the city’s 250th USA anniversary celebration. The resolution was moved by Councilmember Susan LaDart and, via an amendment, the council named four initial committee members: Paloma Bates, Felicia Fruia, Genavi Brune and Sarah Jordan. The motion and amendment passed unanimously (4–0).
