Board approves resolutions enabling termination and unrequested leaves for teachers
The Albert Lea board adopted two personnel resolutions allowing termination/non-renewal of probationary teacher contracts and placement of teachers on unrequested leave; both passed 7-0 and are intended to give the district authority to align staff with enrollment.

Chair Dave Klatt introduced two personnel resolutions and the board approved both unanimously. The first was a Resolution Relating to the Termination and Non-renewal of the Teaching Contract of Probationary Teachers; the motion by Angie Hoffman, seconded by Kim Nelson passed 7-0.
