Bernard Road closed for overlay; multiple county bridge pours underway

Jackson County roads staff told the board Bernard Road overlay work began, the road is closed and crews expect the closure to last into early August unless phasing allows earlier reopening. Staff described work at multiple locations: pouring the north abutment at Channelorth Bridge, placement of an abutment on the 458th Avenue bridge, and stripping forms on the Z‑15 bridge for subcontractor paving work.
