Council adopts updated city ethics code
Council approved an updated ethics code (Title 3, Chapter 40) developed with legal counsel and will meet with the ethics board next week to review the changes if the ordinance passes as read.

Council members approved the second reading of an ordinance updating the city’s ethics code on April 13. One councilmember noted that KC worked on a rewrite to modernize the old code and that the revised document is "quite good," and staff (Helen) said they will meet with the ethics board next week if the measure passes.
