Supervisors approve $8,246 election-management contract (Modus/InTech) for next fiscal year

Amy Don, the election deputy, asked the board to approve purchase of an election-management and poll-worker workflow module from Modus (parent company transcribed in the meeting as InTech/Intac) to streamline manual processes used by the office.

"What this company does is it obviously manages elections, but what it'll do it'll help me uh streamline a lot of the manual processes that take weeks and weeks from uh PEO selection to sending out letters," Amy Don said during her presentation. She explained the pricing as a $6,500 startup cost with a $2,000 investment offset (net $4,500) plus a $3,746 annual subscription, totaling $8,246 for first-year implementation. The board moved, seconded and approved adding the first-year cost to the next fiscal-year budget; staff said the system will not be available for the upcoming primary but is targeted for the general election in the next fiscal year.
