Ohio officials say single sign-on platform has expanded online access to state services
State technology leaders described Ohio's centralized identity platform (OID/IOP) and credited leadership and design changes for growing the system to millions of accounts and enabling services such as online BMV waitlisting and driver's-license renewals.

Remard Coulson, Innovate Ohio Platform administrator, said Ohio has moved to a centralized identity system that reduces separate credentials across agencies and makes state services easier to access. "We have over 9 million accounts for the state for people to access those services seamlessly," Coulson said, pointing to growth and adoption as evidence of demand.
