Free fill material from Mojave could accelerate pipeline-lowering program, staff says

Staff described a two-phase soil delivery tied to Mojave’s percolation project that district operations expect to use in a pipeline-lowering program. George said phase one involves roughly 48,000 cubic yards of clean fill, with about 7,000 cubic yards already stored at site 1C near Wilson Ranch, and that phase two could move as much as 440,000 cubic yards later in the year.
