Commissioners authorize resolution to support Morgan County CONNECT federal grant application

Stacie Ware, director of Morgan County CONNECT (a division of Sycamore Services), asked the Board to approve an authorizing resolution so the agency can apply for 2027 federal transit funds under Sections 5311 and 5339 of the Federal Transit Act. Ware told the Board Morgan County CONNECT drove 68,534 miles and provided 6,947 individual passenger trips from January through April 2026, serves about 220 regular riders, and has added 41 new riders year-to-date. She said all vehicles are wheelchair accessible and that seniors 60 and older ride free; other fares are $6 within town and $8 outside town.
