The council voted to set the city's procurement bidding threshold at $30,000 and had Attorney Traughber draft the ordinance; the motion was made by Zollie Rose, seconded by Chad Johnson and carried unanimously.

Councilmember Zollie Rose said the city had no ordinance specifying bidding procedures and that the city had been operating with an assumed threshold (minutes record $20,000) while the state threshold is $40,000. Rose moved to "move the city to $30,000 and have Attorney Traughber draft an ordinance." Chad Johnson seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
