The Shawnee Board of Education voted to approve OSSBA policy amendments and to adopt the Strong Readers Act (SRA) policy at its Sept. 15 meeting. Jeanne Swinney moved to adopt the policy package and Turner Bass seconded; the minutes record the motion as carried with five yes votes and two absences.
