Committee recommends teachers be allowed 1/8-day leave increments
The Darlington Community School District Personnel Committee voted March 16 to recommend teachers be allowed to use time off in 1/8-day increments rather than half-day blocks; the recommendation will be forwarded to the full Board.

Personnel Committee Chairperson Bob Hermanson opened the March 16 meeting and the committee voted to recommend a change to teacher leave increments. Committee member Jeff Stauffacher moved, seconded by Committee member Jeff Riechers, “to recommend teaching staff be allowed to use time off in increments of 1/8 of a day instead of ½ day.” The motion carried.
