Personnel Committee Chairperson Bob Hermanson opened the March 16 meeting and the committee voted to recommend a change to teacher leave increments. Committee member Jeff Stauffacher moved, seconded by Committee member Jeff Riechers, “to recommend teaching staff be allowed to use time off in increments of 1/8 of a day instead of ½ day.” The motion carried.
The recommendation was made during the committee’s review of items from staff listening sessions and will be transmitted to the full Board for consideration. Superintendent Cale Jackson was present and recorded the minutes; the minutes note that this specific recommendation passed at the committee level but do not record a Board-level adoption or implementation timeline.
