County discusses EMR course demand and ventilator maintenance costs

A county presenter said WSU Tech received a Patterson Foundation grant to offer free rural classes and that the county is in talks to host a short emergency medical responder (EMR) course for up to six participants. He said EMRs can perform basic response tasks in rural settings without the additional approvals required for EMTs, making EMR training useful when staffing is thin.
