Principal: Math interventions moved 104 students from behind into core

School leaders reported that focused math interventions yielded strong results this diagnostic period: more than 70% of students are now at grade level in math and "we moved 104 kids from the beginning of the year that were one year behind into core," the principal said. She added that not a single student regressed out of that improved group.
The principal said math was a major focus for the year and credited consistent instruction and strategic interventions for the progress. The report included subgroup breakdowns and indicated the district no longer has monolingual students two or three years below grade level in math.
