MU Extension delivered a program update that emphasized community leadership training and youth engagement. Extension staff said September would be a busy month with a Neighborhood Leadership Academy (a 10‑week course), a community walk tied to a '100 miles in 100 days' fitness program, Good Neighbor Week (Sept. 28–Oct. 4) and a fall festival on Sept. 12 at the fairgrounds.
