Amanda Karch, director of the Workforce Development Board, told supervisors the board has been exploring consolidation with the Capital Region (Albany/Rensselaer/Schenectady) "for about 2 years" and that both local boards have passed resolutions to move forward. Amanda said the move aims to reduce administrative duplication and increase programmatic resources while retaining local staff and an administrative presence in Columbia and Greene counties.
