The Columbia County finance committee approved a renewal for MIS to continue Cisco phone system licensing through a First Light contract. The Chair moved the resolution and, after a second, the Board carried the renewal. A member flagged timing as the reason to act now, saying renewing before June would avoid a roughly 25% increase in licensing costs. "So you know that if by passing the resolution and going through the board, we're avoiding 25% increase to the system such," the Chair stated during discussion.
