The Mobile City Council issued a proclamation recognizing Aug. 24–28, 2026 as National Community Health Workers Awareness Week. Councilwoman Dr. Samantha J. Ingram read language honoring community health workers as trusted liaisons between health and social services who help increase health knowledge and community capacity.
