Staff described a large cottonwood tree about 15–20 feet from the bank (roughly 1 foot in diameter) and said crews did not believe immediate removal was necessary. "How far from the bank is it?" a speaker asked; the reply was "Oh, 15 or 20 feet," and staff concluded the tree "doesn't impede" current flow in a way that requires immediate action.
