During public commentary, Mr. Thompson asked the board to deliberate in open session and to enter his objection into the record, arguing the district had relied on an independent investigator’s report and effectively waived attorney-client privilege. "I respectfully request that this board conduct its discussion in open session and my objection be reflected in the minutes," he said.
