Board members reported that the school system already restricts e-bikes and some bicycles during school hours through school handbooks, and they agreed that handbook language—rather than a town ordinance—would be the appropriate immediate step. "The school board does not allow them... we have it in our Colley Middle School handbook," Bill Rerick said, explaining the schools' position and noting enforcement limits outside school hours.
