Staff reported the town's gas riser and meter at a lift station were removed during prior work and may have been damaged when a semi backed over equipment on the contractor's site. "That backup pump is ran by gas, natural gas," staff said about the pump that operates during power outages, and noted the riser must be reinstalled for the backup to function.
