Pine County agreed to a resolution supporting a local manufacturer's application to the Minnesota Job Creation Fund to help finance an estimated $2.2–2.7 million expansion expected to create about 15 jobs averaging roughly $25 an hour.

Economic development coordinator Leslie Sauter briefed the board on a manufacturer's proposed expansion in Pine City and requested a resolution of support for a Job Creation Fund application. Sauter said the company has operated in the county since 1963, employs more than 80 people over two shifts, and expects the project to add roughly 15 positions with average wages around $25 per hour.
