Staff told commissioners that La Pine’s recently adopted tree-retention code (Order 2024-02) currently applies only to site-plan reviews and cannot be applied to land-division/subdivision applications without a legislative code amendment that sets clear and objective criteria (species, sizes, percentages) to comply with housing statutes.
